Men and Women Coming Together
- if only I knew HOW! -
For singles and Couples who want to explore.
(offered two-three times per year, see Calendar of Events for dates)
As a culture, we lack opportunity to explore what it means to
relate to
another, not just in a permanent relationship but also in friendship
and acquaintanceship.
This workshop is an opportunity to add skills, to have a place
to
explore, experience and practice some of those attributes you long for
(such as honesty, respect, et cetera), either as a single or as a
member of a committed relationship.
How do I communicate with you, especially a member of the
opposite sex or my life partner? Much of my experience comes from my
teen-age years - when the basic rule was "Fake it 'til you make it!"
How do I update this so as to be fully present, open to the possibility
of meeting you, of intimacy, yet not pretending to be other than who I
am?
Add your personal and unique qualities to any relationship
while
maintaining the integrity, sharing and unity of who you are. The
workshop explores both how we hide and how we can safely reveal
ourselves, risking intimacy with the likelihood of good outcomes.
In part, the weekend is based on The
Stone Game®. Since it is difficult to manage communication when
angry or upset, it is also required that participants have attended
the Anger, Rage and Violation weekend prior to
the Men and Women Coming Together weekend.
